Overview
Amy Fix It was engaged to deliver a combination of ground-up projects, including a new single-family residence, an in-ground pool, and a masonry recreation/support building next to existing sports courts. The team managed everything from excavation and concrete to framing and roof truss installation, coordinating multiple crews and trades across active, occupied sites.
Sitework & Pool Construction
Work began with detailed excavation and shoring for the new pool, including benching and protection of neighboring properties. Crews installed formwork, set elevations, and prepared the sub-base for structural concrete, managing stormwater and soil conditions throughout the dig. Onsite equipment and careful staging allowed the team to work efficiently in tight residential conditions while maintaining safety and access for nearby homes.
Recreation Facility & Slab-on-Grade
At the recreation site, Amy Fix It formed and poured a new slab-on-grade to serve as the base for a CMU block structure adjacent to existing courts. The crew installed embeds and anchor points, routed underground plumbing and electrical, and coordinated with inspection teams before moving into vertical work. Once the slab was cured, concrete masonry walls and structural steel posts were erected, followed by installation of engineered roof trusses.
Residential New Build
For the two-story residence, the team framed exterior and interior walls, installed roof sheathing, and integrated brick veneer on the lower level. Openings were framed for future windows and doors, with structural elements set to accommodate modern floor plans and large window layouts. Throughout construction, the site was kept organized and accessible for owner walk-throughs and trade coordination.
