Amy Fix It completed a full commercial tenant improvement for Deka Lash’s new Canton location, transforming an empty unit into a clean, modern beauty studio suited for high client volume. The project included demolition, new wall construction, mechanical adjustments, electrical improvements, millwork installation, and ADA compliance upgrades.

Scope of Work

• Complete demolition of interior walls, fixtures, millwork, and ceilings.
• Construction of new treatment rooms, open studio, office, restroom upgrades, and back-of-house spaces.
• Electrical improvements including new outlets, lighting, switching, and relocation of existing circuits.
• Mechanical adjustments including diffuser relocation and HVAC balancing.
• Plumbing upgrades including sink relocation, trenching, and sanitary line adjustments.
• Floor preparation, patching, leveling, and installation readiness for finish materials.
• ADA compliance updates for restroom, door maneuvering clearances, and mounting heights.
• Fire safety coordination including sprinkler and alarm (deferred submittals).

Key Challenges & Solutions

This project required maintaining strict ADA and commercial code standards while coordinating with multiple governing agencies and franchise design requirements. Amy Fix It ensured all structural penetrations, fire-rated assemblies, and mechanical/electrical pathways were documented, corrected, and coordinated with inspectors and architects.

Tight site logistics also required dust-control measures, access management, and off-hours scheduling to avoid business disruption for adjacent tenants.
